Christian Pulisic wants a move to AC Milan and has been ‘clear’ on his preferred destination ahead of an expected Chelsea exit.
Milan have seen an opening offer turned down for the USA international, who is free to leave Chelsea this summer after struggling for form and favour last season.
Lyon have also made an approach and submitted a superior offer for Pulisic, but Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the 24-year-old has made clear that a move to Milan is his preferred destination.
Chelsea and Milan remain in negotiations in a bid to reach an agreement for Pulisic, who has entered the final season of his contract at Stamford Bridge. The winger made just eight starts in the Premier League last season and scored just once in 30 appearances across all competitions for the west Londoners.
The two clubs share a strong relationship after multiple deals between them in recent windows, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s transfer to the Italian side earlier this summer. Pulisic could link up with Loftus-Cheek and fellow former Chelsea team-mates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud at the San Siro.
Pulisic signed for the west Londoners in a £58m deal from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has since scored 26 goals and provided 21 assists in 145 appearances for the club in all competitions.
