Chelsea are reportedly interested in a potential move for versatile Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
Chelsea are desperately short of options in midfield after N’Golo Kante, Matteo Kovacic and Mason Mount all left the club this summer, with Enzo Fernandez, Conor Gallagher and Carney Chukwuemeka currently the only senior options.
The Blues have been strongly linked with an interest in Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, though according to The Athletic, they are also ‘interested’ in Ajax’s attacking midfielder, Kudus.
The Ghanaian is a dynamic, multifunctional player, capable of playing in a variety of positions in both midfield and across the front line.
The 22-year-old has two years remaining on his deal at the Johan Cruyff Arena, though he rejected a one-year extension earlier this year and is reportedly ‘keen’ to leave.
Kudus – who has also been linked with Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United – scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Ajax last season.
