Franck Kessie is closing in on a move to the Saudi Pro League after Ah-Ahli agreed a €15m deal to sign the Barcelona midfielder.
Kessie signed for Barcelona from AC Milan on a free transfer last summer but struggled to make an impact in Spain, starting just seven league games as the Catalans won the La Liga title.
There has been significant interest in the Ivorian from Italy this summer with Juventus keen on a deal to bring the midfielder back to Serie A, while several Premier League clubs have monitored his situation.
Tottenham are understood to be long-term admirers, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly courted the 26-year-old previously.
The Athletic are reporting that Kessie is now set for The Saudi Pro League, with Barcelona having been active in their attempts to sell the midfielder. A fee of €15m (£12.9m) has been agreed with Ah-Ahli, who are close to adding the Ivory Coast international to their list of summer recruits.
Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, and Allan Saint-Maximin have all swapped the Premier League for Ah-Ahli this summer and will be among Kessie’s new team-mates in the Middle East.
