Real Sociedad are interested in a deal to sign Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney on loan, with the defender linked with an exit from the Emirates.
Tierney lost his place in the Arsenal side to Oleksandr Zinchenko last season and made just six starts in the Premier League.
New signing Jurrien Timber started at left-back during Arsenal’s Community Shield win against Manchester City on Sunday, while Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also options in the position for Mikel Arteta.
Newcastle and Aston Villa have been credited with a long-term interest in the Scotland international, but the Telegraph are reporting that Real Sociedad are keen on a loan deal to take Tierney to Spain.
Imanol Alguacil’s side will return to the Champions League this season after a fourth-place finish in La Liga last season and the Spaniards are keen to strengthen at full-back ahead of their European campaign.
The 26-year-old has made 124 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Celtic in a £25m deal, but could be open to a departure in search of regular minutes this season.
