Arsenal could renew their interest in signing Dusan Vlahovic during the January transfer window with Juventus open to the forward’s departure.
Arsenal failed in an attempt to sign Vlahovic before his move to Juventus in January 2022, with the Gunners reportedly having had a bid accepted for the then-Fiorentina forward before the Serbian decided on a transfer to Turin.
The 23-year-old has struggled to live up to expectations since arriving at Juventus, with injury problems having contributed to a modest record of 25 goals in 66 appearances in all competitions.
Juventus discussed a swap-deal with Chelsea involving Vlahovic during the summer, but the Blues turned down the chance to sign the striker. Juventus had demanded a fee of £34m plus Romelu Lukaku in exchange for Vlahovic.
The Daily Express are reporting that Vlahovic could again be made available in January and Arsenal are being linked with returning with renewed interest. The north London side were willing to spend around £88m to sign Vlahovic 18 months ago, but could now secure a deal for a reduced fee.
Vlahovic’s contract will reportedly rise to £10m net per season from next year and Juventus are open to offloading the forward given their recent off-field issues.
