Erik ten Hag has admitted that Jadon Sancho could leave Manchester United during the January transfer window.
Sancho has been excluded from first-team training following a public fallout with Ten Hag, after the manager had dropped the 23-year-old from the squad to face Arsenal earlier this month.
Ten Hag said Sancho was dropped due to unacceptable training performances, a claim Sancho refuted as the winger took to social media to call Ten Hag’s comments ‘completely untrue’.
Sancho is now training away from the main group and Ten Hag confirmed the England international will not be part of the squad to face Burnley this weekend.
“It depends on him,” Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference on whether Sancho could leave in January.
“For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley and that is our focus. He [Sancho] will not be in the squad.”
Ten Hag provided an update on the fitness of his squad ahead of facing the Clarets and confirmed that Raphael Varane, Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount could all feature.
“[Harry] Maguire, maybe. We will see after training.
“[Raphael] Varane, [Sofyan] Amrabat and [Mason] Mount will all train and then we’ll see but all haven’t played for longer term.”
