Arsenal target Lois Openda has a release clause of €80m (£70m) in his contract at RB Leipzig that can be activated from 2025.
Openda was reportedly a transfer target for Arsenal during the summer window before signing for Leipzig in a club record €46m (£39.8m) deal from Lens.
The 23-year-old has made an electric start to his career in the Bundesliga with four goals and two assists from six game and impressed as Leipzig drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich last weekend.
Arsenal remain interested in signing a centre-forward and Sky Sports Germany are reporting that Openda has a release clause of €80m in his current contract, though the clause can only be activated from 2025.
Openda scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season to fire Lens to a runners-up finish in France, as the club secured Champions League qualification for the first time since 2002/03.
His performances were recognised with inclusion in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year, before Leipzig won the race to sign the Belgian as the club sought a replacement for the Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku.
Openda has scored twice in nine appearances for Belgium since his international debut in 2022.
