Barcelona are monitoring developments between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United ahead of a potential summer move to sign the winger.
Sancho looks set to leave Manchester United after a public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag, with the 23-year-old currently training away from the first-team group at Old Trafford.
Sancho’s situation is likely to lead to a loan exit in the January transfer window, as United look to offload the England international with the intention of his value increasing during a successful loan spell away from the club.
According to Sport, Barcelona are not expected to launch a move to sign Sancho in the winter window unless there is an unexpected exit at the club, but will consider the winger in a cut-price deal at the end of the season.
Juventus are reportedly leading the race to sign Sancho in January, though the Italian side are targeting a six-month loan arrangement and are not interested in a permanent deal.
That could open opportunity for Barcelona at the end of the season, though Sancho would need to take a significant cut in his wages to complete a transfer to the Camp Nou.
Sancho signed for Manchester United in a deal worth £72.9m from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, but has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. He has scored 12 goals in 89 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
