Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has spoken of a ‘positive’ international break for his squad, with a number of senior players given the green light regarding their fitness.
Spurs take on Fulham on Monday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with kick-off taking place at 8pm.
Captain Heung-Min Son and Cristian Romero had fitness scares over the international break but are in contention to feature. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson are nearing their returns.
Yves Bissouma’s red card at Luton last time out sees him join Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon, who are nursing long-term injuries, on the sidelines.
Tottenham injury news ahead of Fulham match:
Heung-Min Son and Cristian Romero
While in action for South Korea, Heung-Min Son was seen limping on several occasions.
Cristian Romero, meanwhile, was taken off at half-time in Argentina’s win over Peru with a fitness issue.
Upon being questioned about his senior stars in today’s press conference, Postecoglou said: “Everyone’s back and medical reports seem to be good. (There are) no issues around the guys from a fitness perspective.”
Brennan Johnson
Summer signing Brennan Johnson was forced off in last month’s North London derby due to a hamstring injury.
He has missed every game for club and country since, including Wales’ Euro 2024 qualifying win over Croatia.
The manager explained: “He’s had a good, solid couple of weeks of training. It’s been good for him. We’ll just see how he goes in the next couple of days.”

Rodrigo Bentancur
Uruguay international Rodrigo Bentancur suffered a damaging anterior cruciate ligament injury in February, ruling him out of action for a significant period of time.
Postecoglou told the press conference: “We’ll be careful with him. Now he’s fully training. He’s coped pretty well with that.
“We’ve got to be mindful that he’s missed a fair bit of football. The more he trains over the next few weeks, we’ll pick our moment. We look forward to having him back.”
The Australian also said that the Monday night football scheduling ‘helps’ him in respect of having time to assess those who were recently injured.

Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon
Ivan Perisic is expected to be sidelined until March next year after sustaining an ACL injury in training last month.
He’s joined on the treatment table by Manor Solomon, who will miss the next two or three months due to a meniscus injury, as confirmed by the club earlier this month.
Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon
Spurs legend Hugo Lloris missed the end of last season with a thigh problem. The World Cup winner was expected to leave N17 in the summer but is still being treated at the club.
Current number one goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario told Sky Sports earlier this week that the Frenchman had ‘helped a lot’ with the Italian’s transition to the Premier League.
Ryan Sessegnon has had a torrid time with injuries since his move to North London in 2019. The former Fulham man is still dealing with a recurring hamstring issue.
His return isn’t expected to be too far away. Postecoglou didn’t comment on this.
