Kalvin Phillips is likely to leave Manchester City during the January transfer window after struggling for regular first-team football at the Etihad.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that it is ‘very likely’ Phillips will leave in the new year, while Sky Sports Germany have revealed that Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring his situation.
The Reds remain interested in signing a defensive midfielder as Jurgen Klopp continues to rebuild his engine room, having been frustrated in attempts to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia during the summer window.
Interest from the Premier League is expected to be high, with Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham all long-term admirers of the midfielder.
Juventus and Bayern Munich are also among the clubs considering a winter window move for Phillips.
