Following a dramatic victory over F.C. Copenhagen in the Champions League midweek, Manchester United will now turn their attention towards the Manchester derby.
Erik Ten Haag will be hoping for some positive injury news, following a chaotic start to the season.
Manchester United injury news ahead of Manchester City clash:
Casemiro
Casemiro spent time in Brazil to recover from a suspected ankle injury that the midfielder suffered over the international break, but has since returned to England.
After training with the squad this week, Ten Haag said it is a ‘race against time’ for the Brazilian, in his pre-match press conference.

Kobbie Mainoo
After suffering an ankle injury in pre-season, Kobbie Mainoo looks set to return to the Manchester United squad.
The midfielder played 45 minutes in the UEFA youth league in midweek and with all signs looking positive, could return this weekend.
Tyrell Malacia
The full-back has now returned to training, a promising sign for the young Dutchman, following his pre-season knee injury.
Despite being on an individual training plan, the omens look positive for a return in the next few weeks.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Ten Hag has said that Wan-Bissaka is getting closer to a full recovery and has now made his return to the squad.
“Aaron was training today,” said the manager.
Good news for United, as their defensive woes start to relieve.

Luke Shaw
An extended period of absence for Luke Shaw looks to be coming to an end soon, with Ten Hag indicating that a return to training could be soon.
Although signs are improving, a return before the next international break is unlikely.

With a return slightly more delayed than Mainoo’s, Amad Diallo is making strides towards full fitness after suffering a knee injury in pre-season.
Although back at Carrington, Diallo is still aiming at mid November for a return date.
Lisandro Martinez
The Argentine centre half is currently facing the longest wait to return, following his foot injury earlier this season.
Playing football in 2023 is looking unlikely, but a January return is on the cards for Lisandro.
