Eberechi Eze is set to commit his future to Crystal Palace and sign a new long-term contract with the club.
Eze was linked with a move away from the Eagles during the summer transfer window with Manchester City having enquired into his availability, with the Premier League champions understood to be ‘following’ the midfielder’s progress ahead of a potential future move.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season, form which earned Eze a first England appearance as the midfielder made his international debut in June.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Palace are now set to announce a new deal for Eze, who has agreed a contract extension with the South Londoners.
The contract will see Eze receive a significant increase on his current salary, to wages of around £100,000-a-week, and protect his market value should further interest from rival sides emerge.
Eze has become a key figure in Roy Hodgson’s developing team, after Palace lost long-term talisman Wilfried Zaha during the summer.
Tottenham and Newcastle have also each been linked with a move for Eze, who has made 98 appearances in all competitions since signing for Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020.
