Bardghji agent backs teenager for ‘biggest stage’ amid Premier League interest

The agent of Roony Bardghji has called the FC Copenhagen teenager the ‘future of Swedish football’ and has backed the midfielder for a big move.

Bardghji has attracted interest from across Europe since becoming Copenhagen’s youngest debutant and made headlines after scoring the winner against Manchester United in this season’s Champions League group stage.

The 18-year-old has scored 11 goals in 25 appearances for Copenhagen in all competitions this season and the player’s agent, Christian Emile, has called Bardghji the biggest talent in Swedish football since Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Brighton and Newcastle are among the clubs who have been credited with interest in Bardghji, with Emile backing his client for a high-profile move and insisting the teenager is destined for the ‘biggest stage’. However, Emile said it was currently ‘too early’ for a potential transfer.

“He’s one of the most exciting talents in the world and also the future of Swedish football since Zlatan, it’s natural that he is being monitored by major clubs,” Emile said, as per Fabrizio Romano.

“It’s too early to say now… but one thing is for sure — you’ll get used to seeing Roony perform on the biggest stage”.
