Jude Bellingham has done something that Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul, Karim Benzema, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo Nazario could not achieve while at Real Madrid.
The England international was yet again the star of the show on Wednesday night as Real Madrid eventually overcame Napoli to win 4-2 at the Bernabeu, scoring his side’s second goal before setting up Joselu for the fourth in added time.
Bellingham‘s superb header in the 22nd minute saw the former Birmingham City player become the first player in the history of the Spanish club to score in each of his first four games in the Uefa Champions League.
When you consider the list of world class forwards to have played for Real Madrid over the decades, it is an incredible feat by the young man – who is still only 20-years-old.
Despite, for all intents and purposes, being a midfielder, Bellingham has now scored 15 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos. He continues to blow away his manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
“He’s spectacular in getting into the box, he comes into the box like a motorbike,” he told Movistar Plus after the final whistle.
“It’s surprising because nobody could have imagined such fast adaptation here, to this club and the football he is showing.
“He surprises the fans, team mates and even rivals.”
