David Moyes believes that Tottenham Hotspur are “as good as any” Premier League team right now thanks to Ange Postecoglou.
The West Ham boss is preparing his side to take on Spurs in north London on Thursday night, with kickoff set for 8.15pm.
The Scot is hugely impressed by the job Postecoglou has done so far in his maiden Premier League job, making the club top four contenders again while implementing an attractive style of play that has won many plaudits.
“He’s done remarkable,” Moyes said. “Tottenham are a really good side. He’s made a big difference to what they do, how they play and the crowd and atmosphere.
“One thing that I would say is that I am surprised that everyone else has been surprised with what he has done after what he did at Celtic, where the pressure is enormous and he coped and dealt with it.
“Tottenham are as a good as any side in the Premier League at the moment.”
Moyes added: “Going to Tottenham is a tough away game. We need to be competitive and hard to beat, and when we get those moments, we have some talented players and we need to show we are able to play.”
Michail Antonio will not be fit to face Tottenham, but West Ham have no other injury concerns heading into the London derby.
