Erik ten Hag believes Manchester United are ‘in a better place’ after the club’s recent upturn in Premier League form.
Manchester United have won six of their last eight Premier League games to climb to sixth in the table, three points behind the Champions League places.
The Red Devils produced a much improved performance to beat Chelsea on Wednesday evening, with Scott McTominay scoring twice in a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag believes his team have shown positive signs in recent weeks and said his side are ‘in a better place’ after a challenging start to the campaign.
“We know the direction we are heading. We are in a better place in better form, you can see the performances are improving,” the Dutchman said at his pre-game press conference ahead of facing Bournemouth this weekend.
“But we know this league is very competitive. Everyone is killing everyone in every game, so we know we have to be ready for every game.”
United face off against a Bournemouth team enjoying an upturn of their own this weekend. The Cherries are four unbeaten in the Premier League, winning three, to climb clear of the relegation places.
“I think they also have very good form, Bournemouth,” Ten Hag said.
“They are a very good side, well structured with capable players. As I said, everyone is killing everyone, so we have to be 100% ready as a team for that game and that is what we have to do.”
