Mauricio Pochettino has hinted Chelsea will look to bring in new additions after his side suffered a 2-0 defeat at Everton.
Chelsea have lost three of their last four Premier League games after losing 2-0 at Everton on Sunday, with goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin condemning the west Londoners to defeat.
Chelsea were undone on the counter-attack at Goodison Park, as Sean Dyche’s in-form Everton recorded a third consecutive Premier League win.
Pochettino’s side have endured a disappointing start to the campaign and sit 12th in the Premier League table, with the Argentine suggesting Chelsea will be active in the January transfer window as the Blues look to turn around their poor form.
“Football is about scoring goals and we were not clinical in front of goal. I’m really, really disappointed,” Pochettino told BBC Match of the Day.
“We didn’t get the point we deserved. I think we were better but we didn’t get what we wanted. This was a game to play and to win. It’s a problem we need to check. We need to analyse the reality. We need to talk and to try to improve in the next transfer market.”
Chelsea saw captain Reece James forced off with a first-half injury and Pochettino revealed the right-back had sustained a hamstring issue.
“He felt something in his hamstring. It’s not so nice for him to suffer another injury. He is an important player.”
