Manchester United have joined Liverpool in taking an interest in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
Olise has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the Premier League since signing for Crystal Palace from Reading, with the 22-year-old named as the Eagles’ Players’ Player of the Season in 2022/23.
Since missing the opening weeks of the campaign with a hamstring injury, Olise has scored five goals and provided an assist in seven Premier League starts.
That form has attracted interest from Manchester United, who the Evening Standard claim want to make the Frenchman one of the first signings of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era at Old Trafford.
United are set to sanction Jadon Sancho’s loan exit to Borussia Dortmund after a fallout with manager Erik ten Hag, while Anthony has struggled to convince since signing from Ajax and has failed to provide a single goal or assist in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool have also been linked with Olise, while Chelsea made a bid to sign the France u-21 international in the summer. The West Londoners activated the £35m release clause in the winger’s deal, but Olise turned down a transfer to Chelsea in favour of signing an improved deal at Selhurst Park.
