Tottenham are set to win the race to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa, with the North Londoners having reached an agreement with the Italian side.
Dragusin had emerged as the club’s top target to improve their depleted defensive options, though Spurs faced significant competition from Napoli and Bayern Munich.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Spurs have now reached an agreement on a package for Dragusin worth €30m, with Djed Spence set to join the Serie A side on loan as part of the deal. The latter has returned to Spurs after an underwhelming loan spell in the Championship at Leeds over the first half of the campaign.
Dragusin’s arrival will be a major boost for Ange Postecoglou, who is currently without Cristian Romero due to a hamstring injury. Micky van de Ven has also only recently returned from his own hamstring issue.
The 21-year-old was named as Romanian Footballer of the Year for 2023 and has impressed in Serie A this season, ranking second for clearances and third for aerials won.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Spurs to sign Eric Dier, after missing out on the North Londoners in the race for Dragusin.
Dier, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is set to sign for the German champions in a deal worth around €4m. He will link up with former Spurs teammate Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena.
