Napoli are prepared to offer Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior a return to Serie A, as the Italian side look to sign a defender in January.
Kiwior signed for Arsenal in a deal worth around £20m from Spezia during last season’s January transfer window, but has struggled to command a regular role in Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Poland international has started just nine games in the Premier League for the Gunners and Napoli are understood to be keen on a deal to sign the 23-year-old this month.
La Repubblica are reporting that Napoli have turned their attention to Kiwior after missing out to Tottenham in the race to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
The Italian champions are keen to sign a left-sided defender this month after a disappointing defence of the Scudetto, with Napoli currently eighth in the Serie A table and a huge 20 points adrift of leaders Inter Milan.
Napoli are also considering Chelsea outcast Malang Sarr. The Frenchman has not featured for Chelsea since the 2021/22 season and spent last season on loan at Monaco.
Former Atalanta defender Merih Demiral is an option, though would command high wages after a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli in the summer. Fiorentina’s Lucas Martinez Quarta, Udinese’s Nehuén Pérez, and Rennes centre-back Arthur Theate have also been shortlisted.
