Rasmus Hojlund believes Manchester United are ‘starting to click’ after scoring in the club’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
Hojlund lashed in an early opener as Erik ten Hag’s team drew 2-2 with Tottenham on Sunday, following his late winner against Aston Villa by scoring in a second successive league appearance.
The Denmark international also set up Marcus Rashford for the second goal and admits Manchester United were ‘disappointed’ not to take all three points, having twice led at Old Trafford.
“A little bit disappointed. I think we played a very good game, especially offensively,” the 20-year-old told Sky Sports.
“I think we’re starting to click. Everyone is feeling confident but then we concede two not so good goals. We should be a little more focussed. We should be better and they had another chance afterwards too and we spoke about it.”
Hojlund took 15 appearances to score his first Premier League goal, despite impressive performances in Europe for the Red Devils.
The summer signing from Atalanta has now scored in back-to-back league appearances and insists he always had belief in himself to score goals in English football.
“There’s been a lot of focus about me not scoring in the Premier League but I’ve always believed in myself. It’s taken time but it’s not like I’ve not been scoring goals. My team-mates help me everyday. You can always take the confidence with you from the earlier games. It’s instinct.”
