Man Utd defender could reunite with Ronaldo following failed Spurs transfer bid

Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be the latest Premier League player to make a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr, the club Cristiano Ronaldo joined after leaving Old Trafford in acrimonious circumstances last year, are ‘prepared to bid’ for the 26-year-old, according to The Telegraph.

The report claims that the Saudi Pro League outfit have turned their attention to the defender after having a £20 million bid for Emerson Royal turned down.

Man United triggered an extension clause in Wan-Bissaka’s contract, tying him to the club until 2025 so that they can recoup a fee for the player if they choose to sell him this month or in the summer.

Wan-Bissaka, who joined Man United from Crystal Palace in a deal worth up £50m in 2019, has been linked with a return to Selhurst Park. United reportedly floated the possibility of a swap deal for promising youngster Michael Olise.

The Red Devils have already rejected an approached for the former England youth international from Inter Milan, according to The Sun. The Serie A side reportedly offered Denzel Dumfries as part of a swap deal.

Al-Nassr, who already boast Ronaldo, Sadio Mané and Aymeric Laporte among their ranks, are said to want to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season, although they will have to de-list one of their foreign players before drafting in anymore players from overseas.
