Bayern Munich will consider selling Alphonso Davies this summer if the club cannot agree a new deal with the left-back.
Negotiations between Davies and the Bundesliga champions over a new deal have stalled in recent months, with Bayern currently unwilling to meet the 23-year-old’s demands.
The Canada international is said to be requesting an annual salary of between €10m-€13m per season, a figure Bayern are not prepared to match at present.
Sky Germany are reporting that Bayern are ‘not entirely satisfied’ with Davies’ performances this season and will consider his sale should a compromise not be reached on a contract extension.
Davies’ current contract expires in 2025 and news of his potential availability will alert Europe’s elite, with Real Madrid interested in a deal. The Spanish side could face competition from the Premier League, however, with Davies regarded as one of the best attacking full-backs in world football.
The Canadian ranks in the top five per cent of left-backs in Europe’s top five leagues for shot-creating actions, progressive carries, successful take-ons and attacking penalty area touches across the last 12 months.
Davies has won five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League among his honours since signing for Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019. He has been named in the Bundesliga’s Team of the Season on three occasions.
