Saudi Pro League sides are prepared to make another attempt to bring Romelu Lukaku to the division this summer.
Lukaku is currently on loan at AS Roma from Chelsea after being deemed surplus to requirements in West London and was subject of approaches from the Middle East last summer.
The Belgium international turned down proposals from Saudi Arabia in favour of remaining in Europe, and joined Roma on a season-long loan deal.
The 30-year-old has impressed for I Giallorossi and has scored 15 times in 25 appearances in all competitions for Roma this season, despite a challenging campaign for the capital club.
Roma last week sacked head coach Jose Mourinho with the club eighth in Serie A, after a run of one win in six league games. Roma are two points outside the Champions League places, having played a game more, and could require qualification to Europe’s elite to finance a permanent deal for Lukaku.
Calciomercato are reporting that Chelsea have set an asking price of £38m for the forward and will not consider a lower fee or another loan arrangement. Lukaku has spent the past two seasons out on loan, first with Inter Milan and now Roma, after a disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge.
Al-Hilal are reportedly keen to sign Lukaku, where he could join Aleksandar Mitrovic and Neymar among the club’s attacking options. The Saudi side will offer the Belgian a two-year contract worth 30 million euros net per season, more than four times his current earnings at the Stadio Olimpico.
