Kylian Mbappe makes ‘inevitable’ transfer decision ahead of summer window

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly decided where he wants to play football next season amid a long-running transfer saga.

The French striker has long been linked with a mega move to Real Madrid, while Liverpool have also been interested in signing the superstar.

Paris Saint-Germain have been optimistic about re-signing the 25-year-old to a new contract, but the latest report from French media is set to obliterate their slim hopes of retaining the player beyond this season.

Mbappe has decided to join Real Madrid when his contract expires this summer, according to Le Parisien.

The report claims “the inevitable will end up happening” as the World Cup winner sets his sights on a move to the Bernabeu, where “negotiations are being carried out to establish the biggest locker room contract” for the France captain.

Mbappe was expected to join Real Madrid in 2022 as a free agent, but made the surprise decision to extend his contract with PSG.

The new deal reportedly secured him £4 million a month in wages, making him the best paid footballer in the world at the time.
