The search for the next Barcelona manager is underway with a host of top names linked with the job, including Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The German is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season after eight glorious years on Merseyside and says he intends to take at least a year out from the game.
But offers will come in thick and fast from clubs who are in need of a world class head coach, which are in short supply.
Barcelona sporting director Deco was coy on the possibility of Klopp replacing Xavi when the former midfielder exits the Camp Nou this summer. “He’s a great coach but I don’t think it’s the right time to talk about that,” he told La Vanguardia.
“The new coach will want to make changes but first we will have to explain the project and the ideas. There are many options.”
Another fellow Premier League manager who has been linked with the role is Mikel Arteta, although the Basque native angrily shut down any possibility of him swapping Arsenal for La Blaugrana.
Meanwhile, Hansi Flick is one of the favourites to take on the job after BILD claimed the ex-Bayern Munich manager is learning Spanish.
The German is the joint-frontrunner according to the bookies, alongside former Barcelona defender Rafa Marquez. The 44-year-old is currently managing Barcelona B.
Deco responded to reports linking the club to him and Thiago Motta, another former Barça player who is cutting his managerial chops at Bologna.
