Manchester City and Liverpool are monitoring Alphonso Davies’ situation at Bayern Munich with talks over a new deal having stalled.
The Canadian’s current contract has less than 18 months to run and negotiations over an extension at Bayern have failed to find a breakthrough.
Bayern have held talks with Davies’ representatives over the last 12 months without finding an agreement and will be open to his sale in the summer should one not be reached, with the German giants reluctant to lose the player on a free transfer.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the 23-year-old and frontrunners in the race to sign Davies in the summer, though there’s significant interest in the full-back from the Premier League.
HITC are reporting that Manchester City and Liverpool are each keeping an eye on events in Munich, ahead of potential moves this summer.
City have lacked a natural left-back this season with Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake having been used in unfavored wide roles for much of the campaign.
Liverpool, meanwhile, could seek a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson. The Scotland captain will turn 30 next month and has missed much of the current season with a shoulder issue.
