Pep Guardiola has no doubts about his Manchester City squad despite losing ground in the Premier League title race.
The reigning champions drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday despite taking 31 shots, with Erling Haaland missing three big chances in the game.
The result leaves Man City four points adrift of leaders Liverpool and two behind Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League meeting with Brentford, Guardiola rubbished suggestions his side are under pressure. “We have the same pressure each game,” he said.
“The last 15 games, we won 13 and drew two and the ones we drew we had the same pressure to win the game.
“In general we were more than decent against Chelsea but I know our standards – it is not easy to sustain those for a long, long time, but we have done it.
“If we had 3-0 against Chelsea, the fire would be the same to win this next game.”
Guardiola added: “Since we lost to Aston Villa, we have won our games and been better but I can’t guarantee anything – but we are still there.
“I understand completely the doubts from the people, but what I’m seeing, I’m more than satisfied.”
