The handling of Premier League points deductions has been heavily criticised following Everton’s successful appeal.
The Toffees saw their 10-point penalty for breaching Profit & Sustainability Rules reduced down to six points by an independent panel on Monday.
The decision saw Everton pull away from the relegation zone and leapfrog Nottingham Forest and Brentford to 15th in the Premier League table.
The Merseyside outfit are still facing the possibility of a second points deduction before the season ends, while Forest will have their financial breach case heard before an independent commission on the 7th and 8th of March.
Whatever comes of those cases will have a major bearing on the relegation battle, with the Bees and Luton Town waiting to see how it will affect their position in the standings.
Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard is not happy with how the whole situation is being dealt with by the powers above.
“It’s hard for me to comment on these deductions,” the Dane said after the west London outfit lost 4-2 to West Ham on Monday night.
“Somewhere someone is sitting with a calculator, putting in points, taking away points. It’s people’s jobs, people’s lives they’re messing with.
“I don’t know what is going on. We have to focus on us and not on Everton. I’m sure we will improve and I’m sure we will find ourselves safe in the Premier League when it’s all said and done.”
