The draw for the FA Cup semi-finals has been made after a thrilling round of quarter-final action this weekend.
Manchester United snatched a dramatic win over arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford as the two teams played out a classic cup contest. Amad Diallo’s 120th-minute winner sealed a 4-3 win for the Red Devils in extra time and their reward is a semi-final with Championship promotion hopefuls Coventry at Wembley.
The Sky Blues are aiming to become the first second tier side to win the FA Cup since 1980 and reached the last four after an absorbing win of their own. Mark Robins’ side scored twice in stoppage time to beat Premier League Wolves at Molineux.
Manchester City – who beat Manchester United in last season’s final on route to treble success – will meet Chelsea for a place in the final. The Citizens could face their city neighbours in successive finals, after the Manchester rivals were kept apart in the draw.
