Manchester United are prepared to cut their losses on Antony this summer and have identified Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise as a replacement.
Antony has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Ajax for a fee of £82m in 2022, with the winger having failed to score in 25 league appearances this season.
Erik ten Hag had worked with the 24-year-old in the Eredivisie but has failed to coax the best from Antony on a consistent basis at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are reportedly ready to cut their losses on the Brazil international and sell Antony for an ‘acceptable amount’ in the summer, according to transfer journalist Rudy Galetti, as part of a squad overhaul under new minority owners Ineos.
Crystal Palace’s Olise is understood to be ‘at the top of the list’ of replacements for Antony having impressed at Selhurst Park. The Frenchman was named as Crystal Palace’s Players’ Player of the Year last season, with his 11 assists a club record for a single season in the Premier League.
Olise has struggled with fitness problems this season but has remained an effective option when available, recording nine goal involvements in just nine league starts for Oliver Glasner’s side.
The 22-year-old turned down a move to Chelsea last summer after the Blues activated a £35m release clause in his contract and instead opted to sign a new deal with Palace. Olise’s extension included a new, increased, release clause that will be active in the summer.
