Marco Silva has said Fulham are ready for another ’emotional’ and ‘entertaining’ clash with Liverpool this weekend.
Fulham host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday with the two teams having been involved in some memorable recent clashes.
The reverse fixture saw Liverpool come from behind to win 4-3 in an epic at Anfield, while the teams also played out a hard-fought EFL Cup semi-final over two legs earlier in the season.
Silva is expecting another tight game in west London as Fulham look to upset the title challengers and keep alive their faint hopes of European football.
“They have been very, very good games. Probably some of them too open for a manger to enjoy but yes, at Anfield, at the Cottage as well, they’ve been really in some moments emotional games as well,” Silva said at his pre-match press conference.
“Other moments entertaining, tight games always. Of course in some of them, dramatic ends of the match.
“I think (playing) at Anfield played a big part in it as well, they became more emotional. Even last season, it was really tough for them to play at Craven Cottage. Carabao this season of course we wanted to make their life really difficult, give them a match and of course, let’s hope we can get a different result than the last games we’ve played against them.”
