Ederson in shock transfer claim as Man City target £60m-rated Premier League star

Man City goalkeeper Ederson is reportedly “considering” his future at the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, alongside a number of high profile Premier League players, as the nascent Pro League eye up their next batch of star signings.

The 30-year-old has been an integral member of Pep Guardiola’s squad since joining from Benfica for £35 million in 2017, winning every piece of silverware available which includes a sixth Premier League title at the weekend.

However, there is a “possibility” Ederson could leave Man City this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims a “good proposal” might prompt his exit.

The transfer expert says the player is “considering possibilities at the end of the season”  and any move “will be up to the player”.

Meanwhile, Man City have been linked with a move for Wolves winger Pedro Neto, a year after they spent £53m to get Matheus Nunes from the Midlands outfit last year.

City are said to be “long-time admirers” of the Portuguese, but Wolves will demand a transfer fee of at least £60m from any prospective buyer, according to The Telegraph.

Newcastle United are also said to interested in signing Neto, despite his injury concerns. The 24-year-old suffered two separate hamstring injuries this season, but still contributed two goals and nine assists to the campaign.

Neto is still on the treatment table, but remains hopeful he can recover in time to play at Euro 2024.

“I hope to play there and work for that every day. This time I am available after the injuries so let’s see what the coach [Roberto Martínez] will do,” he said.
