Everton are interested in a deal to sign Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City.
Phillips has struggled to make an impact since signing for Manchester City in a £45m deal from Leeds United in 2022, starting just twice in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham but endured a disastrous time at the London Stadium, as he failed to find form in a difficult spell.
Phillips has lost his place in the England squad and was not included for Euro 2024, having been a central part of recent tournaments for the Three Lions.
Everton are open to a deal to bring Phillips to Goodison Park, as the Toffees look to reignite the faltering fortunes of the midfielder. Sean Dyche is seeking cost-efficient additions as Everton continue to deal with financial challenges at Goodison Park.
The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the club’s ownership means loan signings will be targeted, while director of football Kevin Thelwell has said players ‘will be sold’ in the summer.
According to the BBC, Everton are also attempting to re-sign Jack Harrison from Leeds on another loan deal.
