Liverpool will look to raise a significant transfer war chest for incoming manager Arne Slot with the sale of several fringe players this summer.
Slot officially becomes Liverpool manager on June 1 and plans are already in motion for the first transfer window with the Dutchman at the helm.
The 45-year-old will want to run the rule over the first-team squad before decisions are made on incomings and outgoings, including returning loan players, though Liverpool are formalising plans to raise significant funds through sales.
The Athletic have this week reported that Liverpool have placed a £20million valuation on Sepp van den Berg, who has impressed on loan at Mainz in the Bundesliga this season and is attracting interest from Brentford, Southampton and Wolfsburg.
Van den Berg, who can operate at right-back and centre-back, has made just four first-team appearances for the Reds since arriving from PEC Zwolle in 2019.
The Football Faithful understands that Caoimhin Kelleher is also likely to leave Liverpool in search of a first-choice role, having spent recent campaigns as understudy to Alisson at Anfield. Kelleher impressed across 26 appearances this season with Alisson out injured and, at 25, feels now is the time to become a number one goalkeeper.
A permanent exit for Nat Phillips will be sought, while offers will also be listened to for Kostas Tsimikas and Calvin Ramsay. There will also be a decision made on Fabio Carvalho, who has excelled on loan at Hull City.
