Bargain price tag revealed for Juventus forward

Juventus are prepared to sell Federico Chiesa this summer for a fee of just €25m (£21.8m).

Chiesa has entered the final season of his contract in Turin and is not a part of new head coach Thiago Motta’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

The Italian side are set to cash in on the 26-year-old winger, who scored 10 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions last season.

Chiesa has been a past target for Premier League teams and was subject of interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool following his role in Italy’s success at Euro 2020. He was named in the Team of the Tournament as the Azzurri were crowned champions of Europe.

Chiesa’s time at Juventus has been punctuated by injury problems and he missed much of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns due to an ACL issue. The Italian has scored 32 goals and 23 assists in 132 appearances for Juventus and has scored seven times in 51 caps for Italy.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Juventus’ asking price is inclusive of add-ons and a sale is likely this summer, with Chiesa’s deal not set to be extended with the club.
