Deadline revealed for release clause of Euro 2024 star

Dani Olmo’s release clause at RB Leipzig will expire on July 15th with interested clubs having just days left to activate a deal.

Olmo has a release clause of €60m (£51m) in his contract at the Bundesliga side and has been linked with several leading clubs after impressing for Spain at Euro 2024.

Manchester City and Barcelona are frontrunners to sign the midfielder, while several Premier League clubs are aware of his situation.

Olmo leads the race for the Golden Boot at Euro 2024 with three goals and two assists. His return has come despite just 341 minutes of action with Olmo coming into the Spanish side to impress during the knockout rounds.

He has become the first Spaniard to score in three consecutive knockout round games at a major tournament and fired home the winner in the semi-final against France on Tuesday evening.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that clubs interest in signing the 26-year-old this summer have just days to activate his release clause, which will expire on Monday.

Olmo came through the academy system at Barcelona before a shock departure to Dinamo Zagreb in search of first-team football. He joined Leipzig in 2020 and has since scored 29 goals in 148 appearances for the German side.
