Galatasaray set price tag for Premier League-linked Euro 2024 star

Galatasaray have set an asking price of €30m for Baris Alper Yilmaz amid interest in the forward from across Europe.

Yilmaz impressed at this summer’s European Championship as Turkey reached the quarter-finals, with the all-action forward a key part of the Crescent-Stars’ successful tournament.

The 24-year-old is open to leaving Galatasaray for a new challenge with his stock high and Sky Germany are reporting that the Turkish side have received enquiries from the Bundesliga, Serie A and the Premier League.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and West Ham have all been linked with the versatile star, who scored six league goals and provided six assists as Galatasaray won the Turkish Süper Lig with a record-breaking points total in 2023-24.

Yilmaz featured predominantly at centre-forward for Turkey at Euro 2024, though has featured across various roles at club level, including off either flank and both full-back positions.

His high-octane style and flexibility have made him sought after this summer, though Galatasaray are hoping to persuade Yilmaz into remaining in Istanbul. However, offers in the region of €30m (£25.2m) will be considered.
