West Ham have made a move to sign Crysencio Summerville with an initial proposal submitted for the Leeds United winger.
Summerville is a transfer target for a host of Premier League cubs following Leeds’ failure to win promotion last season, following a standout campaign from the Dutchman that saw him named Championship Player of the Season.
The 22-year-old scored 20 goals in 46 appearances and added nine assists, earning admirers from across the top division.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Aston Villa have all been named as suitors in recent months but West Ham are looking to beat competition from Premier League rivals with an opening bid.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed an initial proposal has been submitted, while talks have been held between the Irons and Summerville’s representatives. Despite the discussions, an agreement is not understood to be close.
AS Roma have also placed Summerville on their summer shortlist but are focused on signing Matias Soule from Juventus.
