Six Premier League sides have been named as suitors in the race to sign Baris Alper Yilmaz from Galatasaray.
The forward’s eye-catching performances at the European Championship have piqued the interest of clubs across Europe, with Yilmaz an important part of Turkey’s run to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with the player’s representatives, according to Turkish outlet Sabah, while Liverpool are also mentioned as a potential destination for the 24-year-old.
Galatasaray are demanding a fee in excess of £25m for Yilmaz, who scored six goals and provided six assists as the Istanbul outfit won the Turkish Süper Lig with a record-breaking 102 points in 2023-24. In addition to the centre-forward role he plays with Turkey, Yilmaz can also feature off both flanks and at full-back.
Fellow Premier League sides Manchester United, Aston Villa and Brighton are also named as suitors for the in-demand forward, whose summer tournament performances have sparked a scramble for his services.
