Manchester United have held talks with Galatasaray over the potential sale of midfielder Scott McTominay to the Turkish side.
McTominay’s place in Erik ten Hag’s plans is unclear after just 18 starts in the Premier League last season, following the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo. United also retain interest in adding to their midfield and are open to offers for the Scotland international.
Turkish outlet A Spor is claiming that Galatasaray have agreed personal terms on a deal for the 27-year-old. Negotiations are ongoing over a transfer fee for McTominay, who is valued at around £25m at Old Trafford.
The sales of McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could bring in much-needed funds as the Red Devils look to continue an encouraging summer of transfer business.
Ten Hag’s team are negotiating with Bayern Munich over a double deal to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui but outgoings are required.
Both players are keen on the move to the Premier League after struggling for favour in Germany last season, with United having had an opening bid of €35m turned down for De Ligt. Bayern have valued the centre-back at €50m.
Mazraoui’s move appears more straightforward with United looking to offload Wan-Bissaka before completing the transfer of the Moroccan right-back. West Ham want to sign Wan-Bissaka with discussions continuing over a deal in the region of £15m.
