Gleison Bremer is set to sign a new deal at Juventus on Monday that will see the centre-back’s release clause increased.
Bremer has been on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs after cementing a reputation as one of Serie A’s best defenders.
The Brazil international has been included in the Serie A Team of the Season in three consecutive campaigns and was named the division’s best defender in 2021-22.
Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester United have been linked with signing the 27-year-old this summer, while Chelsea and Spurs have held long-standing interest in the player.
However, Bremer is set to disappoint his suitors by signing a new deal with Juventus after agreeing fresh terms with Thiago Motta’s side. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the contact extension will be signed on Monday and will include a release clause that is higher than the €60m (£51m) figure in his current deal.
Bremer’s new deal will be a major boost to the Turn side whi are preparing for a new era under Motta and have strengthened their squad significantly with arrivals that include Douglas Luiz and Khéphren Thuram.
Juventus finished third in Italy last season and will return to the Champions League in 2024-25 after being excluded from European competition last season.
