Chelsea could still target another addition to their forward line despite reaching agreements to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto and Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion.
Enzo Maresca’s side are continuing an active summer of recruitment with a double deal to sign Neto and Omorodion, after it was announced the West Londoners have agreed a £53.9m fee with Wolves for the former on Friday.
Omorodion is also undergoing a medical with Chelsea this week as the Blues look to complete the £35m signing of the Spain u-21 international.
Despite those imminent deals, Fabrizio Romano has reported Chelsea could still look to sign another attacker before the transfer deadline.
Chelsea have held talks with Napoli over a deal to sign Victor Osimhen but negotiations have stalled due to the forward’s stance. Chelsea are keen to sign Osimhen on loan with the view to a permanent transfer, though the Nigerian is only keen on a loan move if it includes an obligatory purchase option.
The 25-year-old has made clear his desire to leave Napoli and does not want to leave if there is the potential to return next summer. His wage demands have also proven to be problematic.
Osimhen’s stance has complicated Napoli’s pursuit of Romelu Lukaku. Antonio Conte wants to sign the Belgian from Chelsea but a deal is dependent on Osimhen’s exit.
