Chelsea are working on exits in the coming days with Romelu Lukaku, Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke all free to leave Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku is expected to join Napoli after spending the last two seasons out on loan, with the Belgium international having failed to make an impact since his £97.5m club-record return to West London in 2021.
The 31-year-old scored 21 goals on loan at Roma in 2023/24 and is Napoli’s top target before the transfer deadline, as the Serie A side prepare for Victor Osimhen’s expected exit. Chelsea, coincidentally, are interested in signing Osimhen before the window’s closure.
Raheem Sterling will also be allowed to leave Chelsea should a suitable offer arrive. The 29-year-old has disappointed since his £47.5m transfer from Manchester City, scoring just 19 goals in 81 appearances.
Sterling will be deemed surplus to requirements if Chelsea can conclude a deal to bring Joao Felix back to the club, amid ongoing talks with Atletico Madrid. The former is on the radar of Juventus who are keen to sign a winger this summer.
Elsewhere, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Diego Moreira is set to join Strasbourg on loan, while offers will be considered for Noni Madueke. Newcastle United have expressed interest in signing the latter, who has started just 20 league games in 18 months at Chelsea.
