Chelsea have learned their opposition for the league phase of this season’s UEFA Conference League following Friday’s draw in Monaco.
Enzo Maresca’s side progressed past Swiss side Servette 3-2 on aggregate over two legs, to enter the new-look league phase of the expanded competition.
Chelsea are aiming to become the first team to have won all three of UEFA’s current club competitions, after Champions League (2012 and 2021) and Europa League (2013 and 2019) wins.
The West Londoners will face six teams in the Europa Conference League’s league phase, with three fixtures at Stamford Bridge and three away from home.
Remarkably, Chelsea have never faced any of the six teams drawn against them in today’s draw.
For the first time, Chelsea will take on a team from the Republic of Ireland after being drawn to face Shamrock Rovers in one of their three clashes at home.
Belgium’s Gent and Armenia’s Noah will also visit London in the competition, while Maresca’s men will visit Germany’s Heidenheim, Greece’s Panathinaikos and Kazakhstan’s Astana.
Details on the order and dates of Chelsea’s six fixtures will be confirmed on Saturday.
