Lille will block any late attempts from Manchester United to sign Edon Zhegrova, amid rumoured interest from the Premier League side.
Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Zhegrova before Friday’s 11pm transfer deadline, with Jadon Sancho in talks with Chelsea over a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The Kosovo winger scored six goals and laid on six assists in Ligue 1 last season and led the division for successful take-ons. United are set to be rebuffed in any approach to sign Zhegrova, however, with Lille insisting the 25-year-old is not for sale.
Dan Ashworth hints at potential late business
Raheem Sterling has also been named as a potential option for Manchester United, as part of a swap deal with Sancho. However, Chelsea’s move for Sancho is understood to be a loan with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
The latter has struggled to make an impact at Manchester United and spent the second half of last season on loan at former club Borussia Dortmund.
In terms of incomings, United sporting director Dan Ashworth has said ‘conversations are going on’ regarding potential deals.
