Saudi side make €35m bid for Arsenal winger

Al-Ittihad have submitted an offer in the region of €35m (£29.4m) for Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard.

The Saudi Pro League transfer window is open until October 6th meaning Premier League players can still leave for the Middle East, despite the closure of business in England.

Trossard is a target for Al-Ittihad, according to Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that a proposal has been submitted for the Belgium international.

The 29-year-old is a valued member of Mikel Arteta’s squad but has struggled to command a regular starting role in the side.

He has started just one of the club’s opening three league games of the 2024/25 campaign and competition for a place has increased following the loan arrival of Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on deadline day.

However, Arsenal are unlikely to want to lose Trossard who has developed a reputation as a game-changer for the Gunners from the bench. He scored a crucial opener in the 2-0 win at Aston Villa earlier this month and scored 12 league goals from just 18 starts last season.

Al-Ittihad are keen to add a winger to their options as the Saudi side look to add to a squad that already includes Karim Benzema, Fabinho and N’Golo Kante.
