Adrien Rabiot is ‘holding out’ for an offer from the Premier League as the midfielder searches for his next club.
Rabiot is a free agent after leaving Juventus upon the expiration of his contract and is assessing his options. As a free agent, Rabiot can sign for a new club outside of the transfer window and has been routinely linked with English football of late.
Manchester United came close to signing the France international two years ago and could reignite their interest in the 29-year-old, should Casemiro depart amid interest from Turkey and the Saudi Pro League.
AC Milan were linked with signing Rabiot late in the summer transfer window, though a deal failed to materialise.
Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the Frenchman has his sights set on a move to the Premier League, having previously expressed his desire to test himself in English football.
Rabiot reveals Premier League dream
“I have always said that I’d like to play in England in my career. I still have that desire,” Rabiot said.
“I’d like to evolve in the Premier League. It’s the league, it’s the level of play that’s going on, that’s what attracts me most. It corresponds to my qualities.
“I haven’t got a Premier League team in mind right now. I haven’t chosen a team or anything. It’s a general thing.”
