Martin Odegaard says his ankle injury “could have been worse” as he continues his recovery in a bid to return to action for Arsenal as “quickly as possible”.
The midfielder has been sidelined since sustaining ligament damage while on international duty with Norway at the start of September.
The Gunners skipper provided a “positive” update on Wednesday as he works his way back to fitness, and even says he felt he “got away with” the severity of the injury.
“It was a bad twist to my ankle, and I damaged some ligaments there, but it’s part of football and now I’m just trying to recover as quickly as I can,” Odegaard explained in his programme notes ahead of Arsenal’s League Cup tie against Bolton.
