Juventus are considering a move for RB Leipzig forward Lois Openda as the Bianconeri look to sign a striker next summer.
Openda netted 28 times during a brilliant debut campaign at Leipzig last season and has started the new season in similar form, with four goals to his name in six Bundesliga appearances in 2024/25.
Only Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy outscored Openda in the Bundesliga last season, following his club-record move to Leipzig from French side Lens. His final season in France saw Openda score 21 Ligue 1 goals to help Lens to Champions League qualification.
Premier League clubs tracking €80m Openda
The Belgium international’s form – which included a Champions League brace at Manchester city last season – has piqued the interest of Premier League clubs with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool having checked in on his progress in Germany. Openda has a release clause of €80m (£66.9m) in his contract at Leipzig that can be activated next summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Juventus are lining up a potential move for the 24-year-old. Thiago Motta is keen to improve his team’s firepower with Juventus the joint-lowest scorers in Serie A’s top eight after seven games this season.
Dusan Vlahovic has started the season in good form with seven goals in nine games, though there is a lack of contribution behind the Serbian striker.
Vlahovic has also been linked with a potential transfer away from Turin next summer amid long-standing interest from Arsenal.
